Headaches Linked to Snoring

A study published in the April 22, 2003 issue of the journal, Neurology, the scientific journal of the American Academy of Neurology found that people with chronic daily headaches were more than twice as likely to snore as people with only occasional headaches. Chronic daily headache was defined as having a headache more than 15 days each month. Occasional headaches were defined as having between two and 104 headaches each year.

Of course it is not certain whether the snoring causes the headaches or the headaches cause the snoring. Chronic headache and the taking of medication can result in sleep disturbances, leading to headaches. Similarly, snoring can result in sleep disturbances and lead to headaches.
