Cervical Manipulation Helps Dizziness and Pain

In a small study, involving 14 subjects who were treated once, manual therapy was found to be the only therapy that helped patients suffering with dizziness or vertigo that was suspected of originating in the cervical spine (neck). The subjects were given manual therapy, anti-inflammatory drugs, acupuncture or no therapy. Manual therapy was the only therapy that helped. It increased the mobility (range of motion) in the cervical spine and reduced the dizziness and vertigo. This research appeared in the journal, Manual Therapy(2000 Aug;5(3):151-7).
